Why You Need Expert Tile Work
It takes a lot of time, effort, and training to do tiles. So if you don’t want to do it yourself, we’re here to help.
To do this job correctly, we have to measure the area and calculate the amount of field tiles, floor tiles, saddles, borders and accents, niches and benches and transition moldings too. There are many components and options in tile layout so it's best to properly plan your project!
If the floor is cracked or damaged or unstable, it needs to be fixed. The surface must be stable and smoothed out before laying the tiles. To do this, a Crack isolation membrane or uncoupling membrane is applied such as Ditra. DITRA provides uncoupling through its open rib structure, which allows for in-plane movement that effectively neutralizes the differential movement stresses between the substrate and the tile, thus eliminating the major cause of cracking and delaminating of the tiled surface.
Proper waterproofing is essential to make your bathroom investment last as long as possible with no water intrusion issues. With proper training from Schluter and Wedi we are qualified to produce a long lasting waterproof system.
